Hi there! My name is Elizabeth De Lara and my passion is making and sharing delicious food with people! I am a self-taught cook with a love of whole foods and trying new things. I live in Denver, Colorado with my husband, our 1 year-old son, and our Rottweiler, Gregor.
Though being a mom is a full-time job, in the quiet moments I love anything that has to do with researching food. I love to read cookbooks, learn about nutrition, and test new recipe ideas any chance I get. As Colorado has quite a long winter, you can often find me curled up on the couch with a new cookbook while the baby sleeps.

The recipes I share on my website are fresh, delicious, and often have whole foods as the focus. As I do not like to cook or eat meat, all of my recipes are vegetarian and many are vegan. However, they can all be customized to include meat if you choose to do so.
My goal is to help people get back into their kitchens, to realize that cooking for yourself doesn’t have to be labor intensive, disappointing, or boring. My food can bring your family together to enjoy a meal that is fresh, fun, and doesn’t compromise on flavor! I believe that a delicious meal can be done by anyone with a solid recipe in their hands.
The recipes I post will also have ingredients that are in season, as I love to take full advantage of of fresh, ripe produce at the best price! What I enjoy most are whole, natural foods, as opposed to processed, packaged foods and that is often represented in the food I make. I believe whole foods are the tastiest, healthiest way to go; however, I definitely leave room to indulge! One of my favorites is my 24k Carrot Cake.
